Save Me: Finding New Life

I Can Save You...

One of the most beautiful phrases you will ever hear is "You can be saved."

From those trapped in the currents of Hurricane Katrina to the countless held hostage by the raging infernos of the twin towers, the words any man, woman, or child needs to hear when faced with certain destruction is: You can be saved.

Greater than any natural disaster, however, is the certainty that our soul will reside somewhere following this life. When you consider the incredible, unfathomable length of eternity, it just isn't enough to take man's word for it. You must know for yourself that you are saved.

Only the Word of God can give you that assurance and the answers you need.

As Philippians 2:12 warns us, "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."

While I cannot save you, I can point you in the right direction. First and foremost, consider the plight of the Jews when they found out they had crucified their Messiah and seemed to be lost for eternity. Trembling, they cried out, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?"

Here is the answer

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call."

Salvation is more than a profession of your mouth. There must be an interplay between humanity and the Divine. As we are baptized in the physical, calling His saving name--Jesus--over us, the Divine response is to cover us with the blood Jesus shed on Calvary, forever washing our sins away.

And as we repent, professing our sins with our mouths, and begin to worship the Creator, the Divine response is to fill us with His Spirit, accompanied by the unmistakable evidence of speaking in other tongues as God's Spirit gives us the ability.

It is a powerful exchange that cannot be riddled or argued away. If you've not received the baptism of the Holy Ghost or been washed in His name, may I encourage you to search out salvation for yourself and become One with God today!
